About
The story of this domain is perhaps more interesting than that of my career. Visionik has been my pseudonym, my nick name, my gamer tag... since 1992. Why? A company I started called Visionix; and an artist (and now friend) Mantronik. I started buying domains in 1995, but I didn't think about visionik.com until 1999. By then an "interactive TV" startup had just snagged it. The domain (and the company) went through at least two acquisitions or mergers, and then someone forgot to renew it (or decided to save the $15) in 2016. Now it's home with me; and for me.
I started as a coder, became an entrepreneur, and started selling (and buying) companies. Along the way I learned more about teams, culture, and negotiating than I did about coding.
I love to build things. I still do — but now I help build teams, companies, and exits. I've started 7 companies, run 5, sold 6, and acquired and integrated 21 others.
I'm now a deal-focused board member, investor, and mentor working with teams of smart, hardworking, trustworthy people. Currently focused on Zendicate, DroneScale, and Sighthound, along with frontier drone & AI research.
My philosophy: never give up; people > products.
